  • I went to a session at MACUL, a couple of years ago, and learned about an app that allows you to organize sites you use most often. It is for all types of devices, including PC. It is called Symbaloo. The nice thing about it is that you can create a class that allows you to put specific 'safe sites' in it for students to use when researching, and they aren't able to go anywhere else, I believe. It takes a bit of time to set it up, so I haven't done it yet, but the presenter was a teacher and she used it all the time!! Here is a link that gives a quick overview of what it does, but it really doesn't describe all the ways it can be used for teaching. http://www.symbaloo.com/home/mix/13eOcK1fiV
  • I teach a K-6 resource room and this will allow me to cycle through the 1st, 2nd, 3rd units and 4th, 5th, and 6th units, so that even though I see these students for multiple years, they will not be receiving the same lessons every year. Hope this helps someone.
