Take away: lift a line activity for literary essay and co-workers highlighting color code for intro in one color, evidence in another color, theme stated in a third color. Q: incorporating Lucy calking more free writing time/prompts.

I am going to take back all the mentor texts that we could use. I will also be taking back the idea of making these lessons our own. Some things we will need to discuss are the rubrics, pacing guide, and grading. How long should our teaching be: mini lesson or hour of teaching and writing.
I love the idea for organization of the story exerpts. I have been looking for an efficient way to give students those copies. Thanks! Also..I got some good pictures of helpful anchor charts.
I am going to take back some of the introduction activities for the units. I am wondering about the pacing for the units. I look forward to trying it out this year!
